Casa de Roo is the last house on the hill in the small village of Roo de Abaixo and offers guests absolute privacy (no neighbours!) and incredible views of the surrounding countryside all the way down to the Ría.

Villa Accommodation: Sleeps 8 - 10 people. It has four bedrooms, two double rooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and a breakfast balcony, a twins room and a wonderful attic space that has the twin beds pushed together. The attic space which also embraces a chill-out sofa zone, perfect for reading, snoozing or simply star gazing through the sky-light windows.

Downstairs the main entrance leads to an open-spaced living, dining and kitchen area and a separate games room with pool table that also houses the downstairs w-c and shower room. This house has a traditional feel to it; wooden floors, beamed ceilings, an open fireplace and soft lighting evoking the warm comfort of an old country house.

Outdoor: Casa Roo’s garden backs into the surrounding forest and provides complete privacy for the guest. Beautifully landscaped rockeries, a 9m x 4.5m pool and a ‘siesta-throne´ occupy the three tiers of the garden. The BBQ area sits beside the house offering stunning views of the countryside while you enjoy that perfect bottle of Rioja and the sun sets on another perfect day in Casa Roo.

Please note: The house is at the top of the hill. Normal cars go up fine. Large SUV's are best parked 50meters down the hill.

A little gem of a house!

Casa Roo was bigger than we imagined in the photos but remained cute throughout. Our children loved the attic space and the garden and exploring in the woods. The locals were really friendly with the children - we got invited for drinks and given local produce! It was charming and the local scenery fantastic. Highly recommended to get away from modern life and remind the kids of the old days!

Going back in time.

For the simple joys of life - this house made our Easter Holidays - beautifully restored by Rupert & Maria - you can see all the love and attention that went into making this old house new again. The garden was like a fairytale - backing into the woods and to the beautiful old creek stream below. It's on top of the hill - so the views are great with easy access to the things modern life demands - but also easy access to amazing beaches. We loved it.

Amazing house in gorgeous Galicia!

A fantastic week spending time with antipodean cousins/siblings - exploring the beautiful beaches - each one different - our favorites included Carnota with its sand dunes and rock pools, crab and fish catching and bizarrely warm water for paddling - perfect with small children. Also Louro - beautiful sand and crystal clear waters - kids described the beaches as 'epic'! Great house - more than big enough for 4 adults and lots of kids and very comfortable. We loved Galicia, particularly this bit of coast as it was so unspoilt - will definitely be coming back!
